Book Giveaway – Jack Glass (again) (15/4/2013)

I gave away a copy of Jack Glass by Adam Roberts a few weeks back and that seemed quite popular and then it went and won, oh, some award or other . . .  So I’m going to do it again, and again with a really big cover picture because it’s SO pretty and ALSO won an award. So there you go, a book that won two awards on the same day and it’s Adam Roberts so it’s guaranteed to be clever.

This is the trade paperback edition again. Usual deal – comment on this post and I’ll randomly select a lucky victim for a free copy of the book.No challenges this week – just comment to enter[1]. Although, though no one has yet complained about how long it takes me to get to the post office and post things, it can take a while and if you live abroad then it can take even longer. Sorry about that, but they do get there eventually. Well,so far. Oh, and these days for international delivery I’ll have to ask for a phone number as well as an address if you win.

[1] Exciting bonus goodies occasionally available but not guaranteed to be exciting. But I have T-shirts if you really make me laugh.

Oooh another chance, another spin of the wheel! One can never have too many books or enter too many book giveaways to fulfill his/her bookishness! I believe it was Shakespeare that said “if books be the food of love, read on!”………….I’ll get my coat :(

Have wanted to read this book ever since I saw a picture of the cover. But it’s not just the cover (though I think I’d want it for that alone!) the story sounds right up my street . . . Says she while looking pleadingly towards your random hat.

Count me in please! I tried last time but think my comment got shunted to spam…
    Thanks,

Ok, I need to plan it well. My strategy to win this book is to either multiply in your sorting hat as a rabbit (which is just a normal thing to pull out of a hat, right?) or to draw a bigger bull’s-eye on my forehead – so it’s easier to win when you aim with your sorting darts. Sorted!

I was drooling over this in waterstones on monday, the kids where somewhat embarrassed by me. They went & hid in the childrens section and refused to be associated with me until we left the store. Turns out, 8 and 6 year olds are good at maintaining a reasonable distance and looking like they’re with a totally different family!

  10. Sean Fisher says:

Put my name in the hat, cheers!

  11. Simon Bradley says:

I was really pleased this won both the BSFAs.

I haven’t actually read it (although I have at least managed to look at the cover) but it’s the SF book from last year that I’m most keen to read. I just tend to wait for the mass-market paperback. Or try to blag a free copy.

Looking good, hope to get lucky this time around.
