More Book, More Thieves, More Swords! (14/5/2012)

The Lies of Locke Lamora competition winner has been been chosen and notified (provided she gave the right e-mail address). Today’s offer is The Thief-Taker’s Apprentice by yours truly. Not so much banter, more foul-mouthed rhyming slang. Take your pick…

As before, comment here or reply to me on Twitter for a chance to win. Entries will be taken until the end of Tuesday and then there’ll be another book up for grabs. A Pratchett, I think :0

For those who asked, winners are chosen by random selection. I ask one of my little people to choose a number.

You ask one of your little people to choose a number, but how are the numbers assigned to each entry? You see, statistically the chances are significantly higher that certain numbers are more likely to be chosen than others, just look at some studies on random number selection to see. Therefore, those who get assigned more frequently occurring numbers will be at an advantage. How are the numbers assigned?

Also, do entries from the last competition still apply for this one, or do I have to re-enter? If so, consider this a re-entry form.

@Edwin (and anyone else interested) Yes, you have to flag your interest for each and every book I put up. It’s too much hassle for me any other way.

Numbers are assigned by comment number with duplicates and my own comments taken out and Twitter replies filling in the holes or added to the end. I have a big bag of dice too and expect to use them, or possibly do both and add and wrap the result, and generally be gloriously inconsistent about the random method I use :-)
