Book Giveaway – Jack Glass (26/3/2013)
The Black Mausoleum came out in paperback last week.
Kataros has been sentenced to death for being what she is. Siff’s in the next cell. His death sentence is for killing four soldiers with his bare hands but he has no memory of how he did it. Then there’s Skjorl, the Adamantine Man whose job it is to watch over them. In his delirium Siff tells Kataros a secret, so Kataros has to get him out and never mind that he’s likely going to stab her in the back the first chance he gets. To get him out, she needs Skjorl, even if the Adamantine Man would rather stab himself than help someone like Siff, and that’s only the start of what he’d do to her.
And then there’s the dragon. The Black Mausoleum. Someone’s going to die.
The Black Mausoleum is a standalone novel set in the same world as The Order of the Scales. Chapters 1 and 2 are available here.
Anyway, this week’s giveaway offering is Jack Glass by Adam Roberts with a really big cover picture because it’s SO pretty. It’s Adam Roberts so it’s guaranteed to be clever.
[1] Exciting bonus goodies occasionally available but not guaranteed to be exciting. But I have T-shirts if you really make me laugh.

Oh yes of course I’d love a copy of Jack Glass. Just so happens I’d love to read it and I’m skint, not like ‘oooo I’ll have to cut back a bit’ skint, I mean ‘bones of my arse’ skint.
And yes it does take a long time, I won something ages (weeks) ago and it still hasn’t arrived. It’s outrageous, the amount of time we have to wait for free stuff in this country, outrageous. Bloomin immigrants.

Ooooh, pretty cover! Yes I have heard much about this book I can imagine it is rather magnificent and not about stained glass windows, then again maybe it is the perfect book for the Launa man! (Wasn’t that a film starring Pierce Brosnan playing a disgruntled double glazing salesman? Iam mistaken, probably)

Just for the cover this book deserves a 10, and the story intrigues me …. I live in Italy, but no problem, I’m happy to wait, just to read it!

I would be overjoyed to receive a copy. As I approach the end of my BA Eng Lit degree, I am very much in need of some new reading to replace the pile of critical theory volumes I have been dragging myself through. Oh and I am broke too!

Jaysus, is everyone posting on this page skint? The recession is hitting worse than I thought. Clearly everyone here needs this book more than I do.

Hm, I have not yet heard of this book (well, I guess I have now). Thank you for the introduction! Whether I win or not, it’s going on my reading list and my shopping list for the next time I’m in the store! Thank you!

I’ve just read that one aspect of the sequel to Independence Day is very similar to part of the book I’m writing. I don’t know quite what to make of this and therefore require a copy of Jack Glass by Adam Roberts.

I’d love to win Jack Glass! Just read the review – sounds great. And, the cover’s a stained glass window with a rocket! Geeky Glee!

I’d love a copy of Jack Glass. Interestingly, every review or comment I’ve read about it – until yesterday – was universally positive. Then I saw a review yesterday that basically said it was too clever for its own good. Which just intrigues me even more…

As I like to raise a glass on an evening, this would suit me well.
